INTRODUCTION |
When I agreed to write another book about
my experiences in the extraordinary world of Formula One, I thought there was no way I was
going to give myself all the added work and stress on top of my first season with the
Benson and Hedges Jordan Mugen-Honda Team merely for the publisher's advance. So I thought
I'd just get the best photographer, make it look really nice by using the best designer
and then knock out a few words which nobody would read because they would be too
distracted by the stylish layout and pictures. Only, when it came to it, I just couldn't do that, because there was so much I wanted to explain about my job, my background, my first win for Jordan, the lifestyle, the fans, fear, image, ambition and rivalry . . . you get the idea. So here it is. A book about all of that. |
